Recently, I have come across a requirement to set up partner portal for our partners (Installers) to manage work orders and incidents.
First step is to configure partner portal . That was done successfully. And second step is to create a web page to show work orders list (using entity list) and configure entity form in insert mode to create work orders.
After following the above steps, we were still not successful in creating work order from portal. After some research , came to know that we need to install “Field Service Add-On” separately after installing the portal. Here are the step by step process to do that.
Step 1: Navigate to https://make.powerapps.com.
Step 2: Select the environment where the portal is installed.
Step 3: Click on eclipse or 3 dots right after the portal app (A Model driven app will be configured once install the portal. ) and navigate to ‘Administration’ section.
Step 4: Navigate to ‘Portal Actions’ section on powerapps portal admin page and click on ‘Install Field Service Extension’ and click ok on confirm dialog.
After following these steps , restart the portal . It may take sometime to finish installation.
