Currently I have connected my app with the Excel file stored in OneDrive for business. I have one calender field where user have to selected any date. Once the form is filled and data sync happens with the Excel sheet, I always find the date visible in excel is one day in past. For example if I select 16 July, 2019 then in the Excel it will be 15 July 2019. Some time If I update the app in the evening then the dates remain same in both App and Excel. I feel this has something to do with Time-zone. Where can I change those settings? Kindly suggest.

In Excel there are various date/time format options, some of them respect the time zone of the client application and some display the actual date/time that was typed into the cell, I guess in the time zone of the user who typed it in, but really it's UTC. I think they are represented by an asterisk when you right click the cell or column and go Format cells.

Excel actually stores the date/time in a decimal number of days since midnight 01-01-1900 UTC in the backend, and your Excel app and also PowerApp is doing a calculation to display a human readable date based on its own time zone.

I couldn't find the forum post but I recall Shane Young talking about an issue with transferring dates from Excel to Powerapps. I believe he ended up changing the date to a text field so it would work correctly.
