  • 1.  Offline use with form controll (or disable error messages?)

    Posted Aug 26, 2021 08:20 AM
I try to explain my current scenario.
I have an app that should be (at least partly) possible to use while being offline, because it is used on a tablet in construction areas.
To allow offline use, i collect the relevant data (e.g. list lookups or other items) in collections and store it on the tablet via "SaveData" and "LoadData".
Until now, it seems to work in general.

I have a screen with different fields and repeating tables (collections). As it is too content to show it without scrolling, i am using a form control to have data cards and allow scrolling.
--> I work with patch, but the form controll is only for structuring the controlls and to allow scrolling.
For the form-control, i need to assign a data source, even if i only use it for structuring.
My problem now is: Although it works in general because i dont need the data source at that time, it is confusing for the user that it is showing an error, that the data source cannot be found.

    My Question:
1.) Is it possible to show a form controll while being offline without showing the data source error (or can i assign something else than a real data source to the form)?
2.) As a workaround, is it possible to simply disable the datasource error messages?

Hope, you understand my scenario :D I know, its confusing

You could try putting an empty table in there, e.g [] or maybe just use the scrollable screen template instead of an empty form.
