My SharePoint data source for my Power App has reached the view threshold limit and now throws an error as a banner at the top of my app but will still add new items to the list.  How can I remove that banner and correct the view threshold error?  Do I have to create a new "archive" list and move some items there?

    Thank you,

Hi Chad, have a read of the info at the link here, basically you need to index your list and turn off any sorting, grouping and totals.  We are happily using SharePoint lists with over 100k records without any issues. Hope this helps.

    Hi Chad,

To add to what Neil has noted, there are only a couple of things to be aware of when your list passes the 5,000 item mark
    • Any column that is involved in a query of any sort in SharePoint Views (Filter, Group etc), Power Apps (Filters or LookUp) or Flow (Get Item/s) needs to be indexed in SharePoint.
    • If you filter your view in SharePoint to a set of records in the New/Modern experience (it will not work in Classic) to under 5,000 records, all will display as expected. As an example, I have several large lists, but our work is timeline based, so filtering on an action date of Greater than [Today]-30 gets the last month and anything forward.
Other than that, you can happily progress with very large lists linked to Power Apps.
